Joey Chestnut Eats 200 Boneless Wings After Being Challenged By Buffalo Wild Wings

Joey Chestnut’s culinary excellence isn’t limited to hot dogs.

The eating competition champion accepted a challenge from Buffalo Wild Wings to eat 200 wings on Monday to extend the restaurant’s all-you-can-eat boneless wing promotion through Aug. 14.

As a man of the people, Chestnut rose to the challenge.

In response, the restaurant chain announced that the promotion would indeed be extended until August 14.

The promotion was first offered in May and was set to end on July 10. It runs every Monday and Wednesday, allowing consumers to enjoy Chestnut’s feat 12 more times.

Chestnut has been a fixture on the Fourth of July for many years due to his dominance in the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. He has won the contest 16 times, including eight consecutive times from 2016 to 2023.

He was banned from the 2024 competition due to his association with Impossible Brands, which owns a vegan hot dog that is technically a competitor to Nathan’s. Patrick Bertoletti won the 2024 title with 58 hot dogs consumed.

Chestnut didn’t stay idle during the holidays, however, as he competed in an event at Fort Bliss where he competed against active-duty soldiers. He won the event with 57 hot dogs in 5:30.

Fans will get to see Chestnut very soon when he takes on rival Takeru Kobayashi in a one-on-one hot dog fight over Labor Day weekend. The event will air on Netflix.
