USA: Teacher repeatedly abuses teenage student in New Jersey and is arrested

New York, July 7: A former Wall High School teacher was arrested in New Jersey, USA, and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault and sexual abuse of an 18-year-old student. The Monmouth County District Attorney’s Office and Wall Township Police announced the charges in a joint statement on Wednesday, July 3.

According to a report by New York PostJulie Rizzitello, 36, quit her teaching job before her arrest. According to an affidavit, she and the student had several sexual encounters between April and June 14, including incidents in her car and at locations in Belmar and Wall. Rizzitello, who taught ninth-grade English and SAT prep, had been employed by Wall Township Public Schools since 2013 and earned a salary of $62,000.
