One in hospital after an air ambulance attended the incident on County Durham Road

One person has been taken to hospital following an incident this afternoon.

The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) has confirmed it was called to an incident on Hunwick Lane in Crook just before 3pm on Thursday (May 9).

They confirmed they had two ambulance crews and a clinical team leader on duty and were supported by the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).

They added that a patient was taken to the hospital.

A North East Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to an incident on Hunwick Lane in Crook just before 3pm this afternoon (May 9th).”

“We deployed two ambulance crews and a clinical team leader and were supported by our colleagues from the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

“A patient has been taken to University Hospital North Durham.”
