Woman dead, man injured in double shooting in Hartford

HARTFORD, Connecticut (WTNH) – A woman was killed and a man injured in a shooting involving two men in Hartford on Friday night.

Hartford police said they responded to a report of a shooting on Cleveland Avenue around 12:50 a.m. At the scene, police found a man and a woman in their 20s.

The woman was unresponsive and was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The man was awake and conscious and was also taken to a local hospital.

Hartford police said both were in a vehicle at the time of the shooting.

The woman has not yet been identified.

The shooting is currently being investigated by the Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit.
