BREAKING NEWS: Senator Garlan Gudger injured in jet ski accident on Smith Lake

CULLMAN, Alabama. – Sen. Garlan Gudger, R-Cullman, was reportedly injured in a jet ski accident on Smith Lake late in the afternoon of July 4. He was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital.

Multiple sources on the ground at Trident Marina said Gudger was flown by helicopter from the marina to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he is reportedly undergoing surgery.
