New man faces trespassing and drug charges after incident in Clarion Borough

CLARION BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A New Bethlehem man is charged with alleged trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia at a property in Clarion Borough.

According to court documents, the Clarion County Police Department has filed the following criminal charges against the 27-year-old Tevon Paul Minichfrom New Bethlehem, in District Judge Timothy Schill’s office on April 23:

– Defiant Trespass Actual Communication with Actor, Offense 3
– Use/possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor

According to a recently released criminal complaint, Clarion Borough police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Leatherwood Drive in Clarion Borough around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, for a report of a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a known male who stated there was a white male in the laundry room who was not allowed to be there. He explained that this man – identified as Tevon Minich— was told the day before (April 8) that he was not allowed to be on the property, the complaint states.

Officers interviewed Minich and it was discovered by a probation officer that his ARD (Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition) had recently been revoked, the complaint continues.

Minich admitted to being on ARD for “drugs” and was asked if he had any illegal contraband on him or in his pocket. He said he had a “broken piece of glass” in his book bag that he used for marijuana dabs. Minich stated that he does not have a medical marijuana card. Officers searched Minich’s book bag and found a glass pipe and a green plastic tray with white residue, according to the complaint.

Minich later handed him another glass pipe with residue from his pocket. He was asked if he had any narcotics on him, to which he replied that he wished he did but needed to get more money first, the complaint states.

During the interview, Minich stated that he was advised to leave the property on April 8, but felt that he simply had to leave at that time rather than that he could not come back, the complaint states.

In a written statement, the property’s caretaker said he told Minich he was not allowed to be there and had to leave the property, according to the complaint.

He faces a preliminary hearing at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, presided over by District Judge Jarah Lee Heeter.
