Pedestrian accident on Belmont Street in Worcester

WORCESTER – A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle on Belmont Street near UMass Memorial Medical Center Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on the section of Belmont Street (Route 9) between Plantation Street and Lake Avenue.

A police accident reconstruction unit was called to the scene of the accident.

Traffic was delayed in both directions.
