Amtrak cable problems delay commuter rail service in New Jersey on Monday (again)

NEW JERSEY — NJ Transit train service in and out of New York’s Penn Station was again temporarily suspended Monday, June 24, due to Amtrak’s overhead wiring issues. Less than an hour after the suspension was announced, rail operators said service had resumed, albeit with 60-minute delays.

NJ Transit posted around 7 p.m.:

Train travelers were rerouted to Hoboken Station and passengers were instructed to take buses or PATH trains to New York City. NJ Transit passes were accepted on buses and PATH trains alike.
