Harrisburg police are investigating three separate shootings that occurred over the weekend.Sunday shootingThe most recent shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. Sunday on State Street, just blocks from the Capitol. Police said they initially responded to reports of gunshots, but when officers arrived, they found a man who had recently died of apparent gunshot wounds.A suspect has been arrested and a homicide investigation is ongoing.Saturday shootingOn Saturday afternoon, Harrisburg police shot and killed a man during a traffic stop, according to the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office. It happened near 19th and Derry. Harrisburg police said officers were conducting a traffic stop for a crime. At this time, it is unclear what prompted the shooting, who the person is or what the arrest warrant was.There is no information on the person’s condition. The District Attorney’s Office is currently conducting an investigation.Friday shootingA woman was shot near 3rd and Verbeke Streets Friday night. Police said the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made yet.
