Woman arrested for witness tampering

The Hanover police have arrested a 23-year-old woman for violating bail conditions and obstruction of justice.

According to Police Chief Christopher Knoll, officers encountered the woman on the road with a person with whom she was not allowed to have contact due to a court order.

Knoll said that during further investigations, the police noticed that the woman from Hanover had tried to influence a key witness in her case.

The suspect remains in custody and a bail hearing is scheduled for late Sunday afternoon.

Knoll reminds the public that influencing or manipulating witnesses to testify against you is a serious crime.
