Route 9 South in Cromwell closed for serious accident investigation – NBC Connecticut

Route 9 South in Cromwell was closed Saturday due to an investigation into a serious accident.

The accident occurred near exit 25 at around 8:10 a.m.

State police said serious injuries were reported and at least one person was taken to hospital.

Due to investigations, the motorway is currently closed between exits 27 and 24.

There is no estimate as to when the area could reopen.

Anyone in the area should use alternate routes and expect traffic delays.
