Accident involving cyclist on Wednesday: Woman has to be taken to hospital by rescue helicopter – WRUL-FM

One person is in an Evansville hospital being treated for injuries sustained in a car-bicycle crash Wednesday afternoon. Authorities say the bicyclist, a woman, was struck by the car near the intersection of Third and Fackney and was subsequently flown by helicopter to Deaconess in Evansville. The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time. We’re told it appears to be a leg injury with a possible fracture. The driver of the car is believed to be OK.
