Child seriously injured in boating accident on False River | Crime/Police

According to the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office, a child was flown by helicopter to a Baton Rouge hospital after being seriously injured in a boating accident on the False River Saturday afternoon.

Officials said the child was hit by a boat while on the water at around 4:15 p.m.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is investigating the incident, authorities said.
