The Houston Zoo’s pink flamingos are out and about! The new exhibition opens on August 30

HOUSTONIt was quite a scene for those at the Houston Zoo on Tuesday.

This is after the Houston Zoo’s flock of flamingos moved through the zoo to move into their new and improved forever home.

In the video, you can see about 200 zoo staff, volunteers and board members stand side by side to form a human wall to help the zoo’s 54 Chilean flamingos find their way to the areas newest aviary humid South America.

The aviary, which is one of three new additions to the zoo’s new 1.3-acre, $13.5 million “Birds of the World” exhibit, will be open to visitors starting on July 30. August 2024.

“Birds of the World” at the Houston Zoo will feature three spacious aviaries and each will house approximately 15 different species of birds.
