Man arrested on suspicion of shooting at multiple Portland buildings

PORTLAND, Oregon (KOIN) — The man accused of several properties in Portland Portland police said a person who had been in the area for the past two weeks was taken into custody on Monday.

Chase Grijalva, 28, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of weapons possession and vandalism.


On Monday, officers responded to a shooting in the area of ​​Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Northeast Oregon Street around 1:15 p.m.

“When officers arrived, they observed a man in a dark colored sedan stop his vehicle and fire shots at city property before driving away. A short time later, similar shootings were reported along Southeast Stark Street at Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast 148th Avenue. Officers searched the area and located the suspect vehicle near Southeast 148th Avenue and Southeast Division Street,” police said.

Grijalva was taken into custody without incident.
