HPD: Man killed in possible drive-by shooting at graduation party

HPD said they received a call about the shooting around 1:02 a.m. and officers arrived a few minutes later.

HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating after a possible drive-by shooting at a high school graduation party early Sunday morning.

It happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Mossrose Street near Garland Drive, north of the Gulf Freeway.

Police said a man was found dead at the scene with a gunshot wound. Another person was transported to an area hospital with also a gunshot wound. This person is expected to survive.

There is no word on a suspect or what led to the shooting.
