Police investigate incident in Scranton

SCRANTON, Pennsylvania – Police closed a street in Scranton Saturday morning after an incident occurred there.

Following an incident in the 1600 block, Pine Street is closed in both directions.

Shortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday, several emergency calls came in, dispatchers say.

A supervisor at the Lackawanna County Communications Center could not confirm what the exact reason for the calls was.

Scranton police could only tell Newswatch 16 that an “active investigation” was underway.

There is no information on when the road in Scranton will reopen.
