Light winds ease, scattered showers across the state

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Today’s moderate winds will become light Thursday and Friday, with land and sea breezes common across much of the state. Winds will gradually strengthen, and winds will return to local windiness during the first half of next week. Very dry conditions will greatly limit rain activity over the weekend, and a slight increase in windward winds is expected early next week as winds strengthen to locally windy levels.

The active South Pacific will continue to generate southerly swells that will move across the islands until mid-month. Southerly swells are expected from Thursday onwards, with a larger swell at warning level expected on Sunday. A small northwesterly impulse is expected on Thursday.
