Man calls married woman to settle argument with boyfriend, then rapes her

A married woman was raped and blackmailed into having repeated sexual intercourse under the pretext of settling a dispute with her boyfriend.

This happened in the Hadapsar region from August 2023 to October 2023. In this connection, a case was filed against a young man from Dharashiv.

According to police, a 27-year-old married woman filed a complaint against Brahmadev Vitthal Manjare (26, Paranda, Dharashiv) at Hadapsar police station on Monday (May 3) for alleged rape.

The woman knows the accused

According to the police, the accused and the plaintiff know each other. The plaintiff had an argument with her friend. The accused called the plaintiff to Hadapsar to settle the argument with her.

After the complainant came to Hadapsar, the accused used violence against her. He also took her to his room and recorded videos and photos on his mobile phone during the rape. The prosecution stated that he threatened to circulate the photos and videos on the internet and repeatedly raped her. He also threatened to file a false case against her husband and jeopardize his job. The Sub-Inspector of Police is conducting further investigation into the matter.
