Gray’s Creek fire chief arrested after allegedly placing camera in ventilation shaft

A Gray’s Creek fire chief was arrested Thursday and faces charges for allegedly placing a camera in the station’s ventilation shaft.

Benjamin Joseph Marsh, 44, was arrested by detectives from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 6:05 p.m.

Marsh is accused of intercepting and transmitting wired, oral or electronic communications.

Marsh was released on $1,500 unsecured bail after being arrested at the Cumberland County Center.

His first court appearance is scheduled for Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Cumberland County Detention Center.
