Stanardsville man arrested after drugs, gun and cash seized

STANARDSVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Greene County Sheriff’s Office has announced that it, along with the 3A Narcotic and Gang Task Force, arrested a 23-year-old Stanardsville resident after they searched a home in town and found drugs and money. Officers were investigating trafficking in fentanyl when they were led to a home at an undisclosed address. They executed a search warrant on Tuesday and seized approximately 700 M-30 pills suspected to be fentanyl, approximately 60 grams of cocaine, a firearm and $2,329 in cash. As a result, they arrested 23-year-old Standardsville resident Deangelo L. Taylor. He is charged with fentanyl trafficking, cocaine trafficking, possession of a firearm while in possession of Schedule 1 or 2 narcotics and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Additional charges are pending as Taylor was held without bail at the Central Virginia Regional Jail.
