Texarkana man found dead on Interstate 30 near Hope

HOPE, Arkansas – A Texarkana, Texas, man was found dead Friday at the 28-mile marker westbound on Interstate 30.

Cameron W. Evans, 33, was found on the southbound side of I-30, according to a preliminary fatality report from the Arkansas State Police. He was pronounced dead at 1:22 a.m. Friday by Hempstead County Coroner David Peters, the report said. The investigating officer was ASP Trooper Landon Loe.

Evans is listed in the report as a pedestrian. The vehicle that allegedly struck him is listed as unknown.

The incident remains under investigation.
