Volkswagen recalls 79,000 vehicles due to software problem – Action News Jax

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced the recall of nearly 80,000 Volkswagen vehicles.

According to NHTSA, some ID.4 vehicles built between 2021 and 2023 have a software issue that may cause the center display and instrument panels to fail to boot up or reset.

In this case, the speedometer and rear view camera displays disappear.

Dealers update the software free of charge.

People whose cars are being recalled will receive a letter after July 12 or can contact Volkswagen directly at 800-893-5298. The internal recall number is 919A.
