Man arrested for allegedly raping his 10 and 12-year-old stepdaughters in Delta State

Police have arrested a man in Ughelli, Delta State, for allegedly raping his two stepdaughters, aged 10 and 12.

Activist and comrade Israel Joe, who made this known on Monday, May 27, 2024, said the incident occurred last week when the children’s mother was out of town.

Two very young teenage girls, aged 12 and 10, were allegedly raped by their stepfather in Ofuoma, Ughelli, Delta State. Their mother, the man’s wife, went to her usual travel market and left the children with her husband, their stepfather,” the post said.

The one who was supposed to be their stepfather last week did the damage by stealing their virginity in a cruel way these children will never remember.

The uncle who reported to me that led to the suspect’s arrest last weekend at Ofuoma Police Station and has now been transferred to Ughelli Area Command is also traumatised by the situation and the mother has been asked to return home.

What kind of life? What kind of person? I call on the Area Commander, Ughelli, to hand the matter over to the Delta State Command, Asaba, of the Nigeria Police Force as the usual appeals to release him on bail and leave the matter to the community would not work.

I believe it is important to inform the different communities that they do not have the capacity and ability to solve or handle criminal cases, but that this can only be done by law enforcement officials entrusted with such responsibility.

He should face the consequences of his actions.
