Police operation at Deerfoot Meadows shopping center ends without incident

In response to a police operation, Calgary police closed a street near the Deerfoot Meadows shopping center for about an hour.

According to officials, 11 Street SE was closed in both directions between the entrance to IKEA and Walmart and the entrance to Sportchek on Monday morning.

The police said there was no danger to the public.

At 6:15 a.m., officials said the incident was resolved without further incident.
