Police search for suspect after bike theft at knifepoint in Homerton

Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole a bicycle with a knife in east London.

The incident occurred outside Homerton Overground Station on Berger Road at around 9.40pm on Monday.

A man threatened two other men with a knife before stealing the bicycle.

Officers were on site, but both the suspect and the two victims had left the scene.

No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.

Earlier this month, police also released CCTV footage of another man they wanted to speak to about a series of cellphone thefts at knifepoint on trains.

A cyclist also reported that his bike was stolen in London’s Regent’s Park in April by robbers on mopeds armed with knives.

There have been numerous such attacks on cyclists in the park who were using the park’s ring road as a practice route.
