AP student killed in brutal bicycle accident in New York

Tragically, an Indian student, Shri Belem Atchyuth from Andhra Pradesh, died in a motorcycle accident in New York. He was a student at the State University of New York (SUNY).

Riding a motorcycle is undeniably dangerous. Motorcyclists are 28 times more likely to die in an accident and four times more likely to be injured than other car drivers.

It is sad that an Indian student died in a bicycle accident. In the US, bicycles are not as common as in India due to winter and other adverse weather conditions, resulting in very low bicycle usage in the country.

Moreover, not many people can afford a bicycle as they are expensive, so Indian students in the US rarely own a bicycle. We are not sure if he was hit by his own bicycle or someone else’s bicycle.
