ANZ confirms regulatory investigation into its government bond sale

ANZ Bank confirmed that corporate regulators are investigating the execution of a long-term Australian government bond issued last year.

The big four banks said they had been appointed by the Australian Office of Financial Management to act as risk managers for the 2023 issuance of 10-year government bonds and confirmed the trade was now the subject of a formal investigation in a report in The Australian Financial Review.
