Rishabh pants suspended: Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant has been suspended for one match for violating the Indian Premier League (IPL) code of conduct. The same was confirmed in a press release from the tournament on Saturday (May 11). The suspension means Pant will now miss DC’s match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), scheduled to take place on Sunday (May 12) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Pant’s DC was found guilty of a slow speed offense for the third time in IPL 2024, due to which the captain was not only fined but even given a one-match ban. The rest of the game’s 11 players, including the Impact Player, were also fined.

The appeal was then forwarded to the BCCI Ombudsman for consideration. The Ombudsman held a virtual hearing and confirmed that the “match referee’s decision remains final and binding,” the statement continued.
