Accident resulting in serious injuries in Kosciusko County

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputies and emergency personnel responded to a serious injury crash involving a motorcycle and a truck on North State Road 13 at the Executive Drive intersection at 6:09 p.m. Friday evening .

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on State Road 13 approaching Executive Drive, where a 2023 Dodge Ram turned onto State Road 13 and headed toward The motorcycle traveling south could not give way.

The 54-year-old motorcyclist from Syracuse was thrown from the motorcycle after the collision.

That driver was flown to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, where the driver is in stable but critical condition.

The 65-year-old truck driver from Leesburg was treated at the scene by Syracuse EMS.

This accident is still under investigation.
