Police called to Drake’s home after another intruder attempted to access his property

According to law enforcement, a person attempted to gain entry to Drake’s Toronto mansion on Thursday afternoon, the second person to do so this week.

Police said the intruder was confronted by security forces at the property and was later taken to hospital following the altercation.

Police said they were investigating the incident. Representatives for Drake declined to comment.

The incident came after another intruder was arrested at the rapper’s home on Wednesday. A source familiar with Drake’s property told NBC News at the time that the person was “immediately confronted at the gate by security and handed over to police.”

Police said Wednesday’s incident was not a criminal matter. They said no details about the individual would be released under the Ontario Mental Health Act.

The law “provides people with the opportunity to receive an emergency examination without their consent with the assistance of a doctor or a justice of the peace,” police said.

The trespassing followed a shooting on Drake’s property that left a security guard seriously injured Tuesday morning. The security guard was shot “from a vehicle that then fled the scene,” police said in a news release.

Motives surrounding the shooting and intruders have not been released. Drake has been embroiled in a feud with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar in recent weeks, resulting in various dissident tracks blaming each other. Lamar’s recent diss to Drake, titled “Not Like Us,” included a picture of Drake’s mansion and the name of the street it is on.
