Crawford County man arrested for sexual exploitation

The suspect is accused of four counts of sexual exploitation of children.

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Georgia – A man is in custody and is accused of sexual exploitation, according to a GBI press release.

They say the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit (CEACC) began investigating the online activities of 39-year-old Derrick Sartain of Crawford County in May.

After a search of his home, Sartain was arrested and booked into the Crawford County Jail on July 24.

He is accused of four counts of sexual exploitation of children.

Anyone with information about other child exploitation cases is asked to contact the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation Unit at 404-270-8870 or report the incident through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTipline at CyberTipline.org.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted by calling 1-800-597-TIPS (8477), online at https://gbi.georgia.gov/submit-tips-online or by downloading the “See Something, Send Something” mobile app.

This investigation is part of an ongoing effort by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which reports to the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Section, to identify those involved in the trafficking of child sexual abuse material.
