ESPN NFL Analyst Makes Bold Prediction for 2024 Buffalo Bills Rookie

ESPN made quite a prediction this week for Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman.

Matt Bowen, an NFL analyst for ESPN, predicted Friday that Coleman, the No. 33 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, would lead all rookie receivers in touchdown receptions this fall.

From ESPN: Bills receiver Keon Coleman will lead all rookies in touchdown receptions this season. With quarterback Josh Allen’s aggressive throwing mentality, Coleman will have opportunities on vertical concepts and inside the red zone. Coleman has the frame (6-foot-3, 213 pounds), as well as the ball-playing skills to take it here.

Coleman should have plenty of scoring opportunities in Buffalo as a rookie in 2024.

At 6-foot-4/215 pounds (per BuffaloBills.com), Coleman will be a huge red zone target for Bills quarterback Josh Allen – it will be difficult for any defensive back to defend Coleman when it comes of 50/50 balls or ball jumps. A perfectly placed fade route from Allen to Coleman in the end zone should often net the Bills six points.

The former Florida State Seminoles star player will also instantly be one of Buffalo’s top options in the passing game. The Bills are not ripe with great receiver depth after losing Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis this offseason. And Coleman, despite being a rookie, is Buffalo’s closest thing to a No. 1 wide receiver.

In other words, Coleman’s opportunities as a rookie should be plentiful, giving Bowen a good chance of fulfilling his prediction.
