Free Gifts at Wingstop, Buffalo Wild Wings

Whether you make them as an appetizer or a main course, chicken wings are a delicious treat. And there’s a special day to celebrate the dish: National Chicken Wing Day, Monday.

National Chicken Wing Day is not to be confused with National Chicken Tender Day, which took place on Saturday, July 27. This “holiday” invented by the founder of Raising Cane’s to celebrate his chicken tenders means Caniac Club members can still get a free tender through Tuesday, July 30.

National Chicken Wing Day was established in 1977, when Buffalo, New York Mayor Stan Makowski proclaimed July 29 as a day to celebrate Buffalo chicken wings.

These days, Americans aren’t just devouring Buffalo wings by the billions each year. According to tracking data from research firm Circana CREST, Americans consumed 1.3 billion servings of chicken wings in the 12 months ending June 2024. That’s a 5% increase from the previous 12 months.
