CBS7 FIRST ALERT forecast for the weekend, July 27

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) – CBS7 FIRST ALERT forecast for weekend, July 27-July 28: Heat increases across West Texas

It looks like a hot weekend for West Texas and southeastern New Mexico. Scattered showers or thunderstorms are possible in the northern Permian Basin on Saturday and in the mountains of West Texas on Sunday. Otherwise, no real relief from the heat is expected.

Not much change is forecast for the next few days. We expect the warming trend to continue over the next 10 days, with highs at the end of the extended period to be around 100 in most cases. Aside from afternoon showers/storms over the mountains, plenty of sunshine and dry conditions are expected. Still, it’s not too bad as we wind down the month of July and head into August.
