Security guard hospitalized after shooting near Drake’s Toronto home

A shooting that occurred outside rapper Drake’s Toronto residence resulted in a security guard identified as one of Drake’s associates being hospitalized with serious injuries.

The incident occurred around 2:09 a.m. Tuesday in the Bridle Path neighborhood of Park Lane Circle, later discovered to be Drake’s sprawling 50,000-square-foot mansion in the North York area.

Police immediately responded to the scene after reports of a shooting at the residence. Inspector Paul Krawczyk, a member of the Weapons and Gangs Task Force, announced in a news conference that police discovered a man with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was quickly taken to hospital where he remained to be treated for serious injuries.

The suspect responsible for the shooting fled the scene in a vehicle and remains at large. Authorities are currently unable to provide a detailed description of the suspect.
