First Alert Weather: Tropical mood most of this week

ROCHESTER, NY — A weak cold front passed through parts of Western New York this Sunday, and other than keeping temperatures and humidity “under control,” the impacts were minimal.

The coming days will be somewhat muggy, as dew points will range between 18 and 21 degrees. However, this higher humidity is not unusual for this time of year. A cold front will approach Rochester on Wednesday and Thursday, resulting in a higher concentration of showers and thunderstorms with a higher chance of rain during this time.

At this time, News10NBC’s First Alert threat tracker remains green until the forecast becomes clearer in the coming days.

Skies will be hazy on Sunday evening and the full moon will be dimly lit later in the evening. Low temperatures will be around 17 degrees. Monday will be hazy in the morning and cloudy in the afternoon. There is only a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be around 30 degrees.

Monday night and Tuesday will bring partly cloudy skies. Towards the middle of the week, the probability of some showers and perhaps thunderstorms will increase. We are not currently expecting any severe weather.
