Denham Springs man arrested and charged with child pornography

LIVINGSTON PARISH, Louisiana (BRPROUD) – The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection with a child pornography investigation.

Everette Walker, 25, of Denham Springs was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

He was charged with eight counts of pornography involving juveniles, seven counts of failure to register and report as a sex offender or child molester, three counts of unauthorized contact with a victim of a sex offender (felony), and one count of unauthorized contact with a victim of a sex offender (misdemeanor).

Detectives from the LPSO Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began the investigation in June with assistance from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations/Attorney General’s Office after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

According to Sheriff Jason Ard, during the investigation, investigators discovered social media accounts belonging to Walker. Ard stated that Walker “is an active registered sex offender who resides in Livingston Parish.”

Walker’s bail is set at $400,000. The investigation is ongoing.
