Three people died in accidents on state roads on Sunday | The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

According to Arkansas State Police reports, three people were killed in traffic accidents on state highways on Sunday.

Two drivers were killed in a traffic accident in Prairie County, according to a preliminary accident report from the state police.

Cindy Murphy, a spokeswoman for the state police, said the two victims of the accident were 60-year-old Shawnna Freeman of Stuttgart and 38-year-old Tyler Earls of England.

According to the accident report, Earls was driving a Chevrolet 1500 westbound on US 165 when he left the center lane and collided head-on with the BMW X5 driven by Freeman.

Murphy said the accident happened shortly after 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

A police officer on site reported that the roads were dry and the weather was clear.

A motorcyclist from Camden was killed in a crash in Union County Sunday morning, according to a preliminary accident report from the Arkansas State Police.

Henry Williams Jr., 29, was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson north on Old Camden Road in Union County when he lost control on a curve and struck a tree, causing him to eject from the road, according to police.

The accident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m.

At the time of the accident, the weather was clear and the roads were dry, the report said.
