Tal Alexander responds to rape allegation

Tal Alexander denied allegations that he raped a woman in New York over a decade ago.

Lawyers for the top broker responded to plaintiff Angelica Parker’s allegations on Thursday, pushing for a jury trial and arguing the allegations were “fabricated” for “financial gain.”

Parker, who filed the lawsuit last month under New York’s Gender-Based Violence Protection Act, alleges she was raped by Tal and his brother Alon Alexander. The attack was organized by Alon’s twin, Oren Alexander, and took place in the brothers’ shared apartment in 2012.

In response to the allegations, Tal’s lawyers pointed to two other lawsuits the plaintiff had filed alleging sexual misconduct, including a decade-old assault and false imprisonment suit against boxer Oscar De La Hoya. The judge dismissed the suit in 2012, calling it “completely without merit.”

“The defendants in this case are already attempting to paint our client as a victim because she has experienced more than one trauma in her life,” Parker’s attorney Michael Willemin wrote in a statement. “This tactic has not worked in the cases against people like Roger Ailes, Diddy and Harvey Weinstein. It will not work in this case.”

Parker initially filed the case in New York County, but Tal’s lawyers transferred it to federal court in the Southern District of New York. The deportation notice states that all three brothers, including Tal, are permanent residents of Florida, although Tal has openly stated that he will keep an apartment at 432 Park Avenue, the Macklowe Properties and CIM Group super-highrise on Billionaires’ Row.

Tal and Oren, co-founders of the Alexander Team and the Side-backed brokerage firm Official, were often photographed in the 432 Park apartment.

Tal previously managed the Alexander team’s New York operations while Oren managed the South Florida operations. Alon is a security manager also based in South Florida.

The allegation against Tal follows two lawsuits filed in March that were first reported The only true in June against Oren and Alon, who are accused of raping and assaulting two women in New York in 2010 and 2012. Tal is named as a defendant in only one of the lawsuits.

Days later, a lawyer who represented the two plaintiffs, Rebecca Mandel and Kate Whiteman, said TRD that 28 other alleged victims had contacted him claiming they had been raped by one or more of the brothers.

Tal and Oren have since resigned from their positions at Official, the company they co-founded with Andrew Wachtfogel, Nicole Oge and Richard Jordan in 2022. Tal and Oren are also no longer listed as co-founders on the company’s website.
