"Here was a completely naked man." That's when the dog, Kane, jumped in and held Pierce until police arrived. Jeff Tarmey said police used a stun gun on Pierce and had to use it on Kane as well to get him to let go. He said the dog is fine, and he believes the dog saved his uncle's life. Jeff Tarmey said he saved Kane just last year. Kane and Ned Tarmey were reunited in the hospital's intensive care unit on Tuesday. Jeff Tarmey said his uncle will be moved out of the intensive care unit. Pierce faces more than a dozen charges, including first-degree assault, criminal threatening, exhibitionism and animal cruelty. He is scheduled to appear in court next week.
