State Police investigate robbery in Frederica – Delaware State Police

Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Saturday night in Frederica.

On July 6, 2024, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery that had occurred on Sycamore Drive in Frederica. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was walking on Sycamore Drive when he was approached by an unknown black male suspect on a bicycle. The suspect demanded money from the victim before proceeding to steal the victim’s backpack. The suspect then fled with the victim’s property on the bicycle, heading south on Sycamore Drive. The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing dark clothing. Surveillance video and images of the suspect are not available.

The Delaware State Police 3rd Troop Criminal Investigation Division is still investigating this case. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Detective S.
