Man charged over domestic incident | Local News

State Police were dispatched to the Birch Lane residence for a report of a domestic dispute.

At the scene, the victim said Claycomb grabbed her by the neck and tried to strangle her. He then grabbed her wrist and dragged her to the ground, but when she tried to crawl away, he climbed on top of her, she said.

That’s when he hit her in the right eye, she said. He was taken away by another person before escaping on foot.

She told police his direction of travel and he was taken into custody without incident, according to police reports.

Claycomb was lodged in the Bedford County Correctional Facility on $30,000 bail. A preliminary hearing on the case is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 15 in Bedford County Court.
