Buffalo DPW crews clean up parks

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Buffalo public works officials say two baseball fields, one in Cazenovia and one in Riverside, were damaged by people lighting fireworks that burned parts of the infields of both fields.

Olmsted crews are working this morning to repair both baseball fields.
Trash cans were also burned at Shoshone Park, and authorities believe fireworks were the cause.

City crews also report that a large amount of debris was left by park visitors yesterday in and around the Centennial Wading Pool at Ralph C. Wilson Park.
The paddling pool reopened shortly after the scheduled opening time of 11 a.m.

DPW officials say damage to the parks is still being assessed.
