How to watch the San Francisco Giants vs. Atlanta Braves game

After a thrilling win in the series opener, the San Francisco Giants will be looking to pull off an impressive victory today when they take on the Atlanta Braves once again. The Giants are currently 3-1 in their brutal nine-game stretch against the Dodgers, Braves, and Guardians, and boy… 4-1 would definitely be a good thing! But it obviously won’t be easy.

Right-hander Jordan Hicks will take the mound for the Giants, making his 18th start of the season. Hicks is 4-4 this season with a 3.37 ERA, 4.15 FIP and 76 strikeouts and 33 walks in 85.2 innings. He has, unsurprisingly, hit a wall as he climbs the innings ladder for the first time in his career … he has allowed eight runs in his last two outings.

On the other side, left-hander Chris Sale is having a season reminiscent of the past. A former ace who struggled with injuries and performance for a few years, Sale has turned around in his first year with Atlanta. In 15 starts, he is 10-3 with a 2.79 ERA, an MLB-best 2.32 FIP and an impressive 118 strikeouts to just 17 walks in 93.2 innings. He leads the National League in wins, WHIP (.918) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (6.94). In other words, he is very good.

Have fun! Go Giants!
