Rahul Gandhi speaks in the Lok Sabha: ‘I was attacked on PM Modi’s orders, the interrogation by ED was the most entertaining part’

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and former Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said in Parliament on Monday that there had been a systematic and comprehensive attack on the idea of ​​India, the Constitution and the people who had opposed this attack on the Constitution.

His remarks came during a discussion on the motion of thanks to the President for his address to a joint sitting of Parliament.

Gandhi said many opposition leaders were personally attacked. Some of them are still in jail. Anyone who opposed the idea of ​​concentration of power and wealth, aggression against the poor, Dalits and minorities was crushed.

He said: “I was attacked on the orders of the Indian government, on the orders of the Indian Prime Minister… The most entertaining part was the 55 hours of interrogation by the ED…”

“…The Prime Minister says that (Mahatma) Gandhi is dead and Gandhi was revived through a film. Can you understand this ignorance? … Another thing that struck me is that not just one religion talks about courage. All religions talk about courage,” the Leader of the Opposition said in the Lok Sabha.

Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha, Gandhi said Hinduism is not about spreading fear, hatred and untruths.

“All our great men have talked about non-violence and overcoming fear… But those who call themselves Hindus talk only about violence, hatred, untruth… Aap Hindu ho hi nahi…” said the former Congress leader.

Gandhi said that all religions are about courage, pointing to Islam and Sikhism to emphasize that one should be fearless.

Referring to Faizapur MP Awadhesh Prasad, who defeated the BJP candidate in the constituency where the Ayodhya Ram Mandir is located, the opposition leader said the Ram Janmabhoomi had sent a message to the BJP. The airport was built in Ajodhya. The poor were robbed of their land but they were not compensated.
