The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) Senior Academy helps improve communication between our senior population and officers through training. The more the public can learn about all facets of our profession, the greater their understanding and empathy will be. The CPD Senior Academy is a unique opportunity for seniors in our community to interact with law enforcement officers, learn about police practices, and gain insight into public safety initiatives. This comprehensive program aims to foster positive relationships between seniors and police while providing valuable education. Everyone benefits from citizens gaining a better understanding of the role and function of their police department.

The three-day course will take place on July 23, 24 and 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 806 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge. Information on registration can be found in our flyer. The registration deadline for the first Senior Academy is Monday, July 15^th.

CPD will be hosting two more academies this summer. We will announce further information shortly.
