Man dies after mobile home fire in Madison Township, Ohio

MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – The Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of a fatal mobile home fire.

It happened on Sunday, June 23, just before 5 p.m. in the 400 block of Piper Road in Madison Township.

When firefighters arrived, a fire broke out in the living room of the house, according to a press release.

Inside, firefighters found a man who died on the way to the hospital.

He was identified as 53-year-old Joseph Nickrand.

According to investigators, it was apparently an accident, but there is no information yet about the cause of the fire.
