LA GRANGE, Texas – A man was arrested Sunday morning after shots were fired following a meeting for a horseback ride in Fayette County.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to the 6000 block of Munke Road in La Grange around 1 a.m. after receiving reports that shots were fired at a party following an annual Capital City Trail Riders (CCT) ride.

An FSCO officer reported hearing five to seven rapid-fire shots coming from the party. At that point, 911 calls came in from witnesses reporting gunshots and a fight in progress, the sheriff’s office said.

When officers arrived, security hired by CCT had already arrested the suspected shooter and confiscated his weapon, the FCSO said.
