Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien responds to reports of ‘unprovoked incidents’.

Coronation Street actress Tina O’Brien has responded to reports that she was involved in an altercation outside her home.

In a video obtained by The Sun, a woman believed to be O’Brien is seen involved in a scuffle with several girls outside her home in a Greater Manchester suburb.

It’s not confirmed what caused the altercation, but in the video, O’Brien appears to be fighting with one of the girls before another pulls her hair.

O’Brien’s representative has since released a statement saying: “Tina was the victim of an unprovoked incident outside her home, which she reported to the police.”

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman added: “Officers are investigating reports of an attack in Stockport between 8pm and 9pm on March 15.”

The actress has not yet personally commented on the allegations of an “unprovoked incident” on her social media.

O’Brien is best known for her role as Sarah Barlow in the ITV soap Coronation Street, where she joined the Cobbles from 1999 to 2008 at the age of 16. The role earned her the Most Popular Newcomer award at the 2000 National Television Awards, as well as several nominations for Best Actress.

She returned to the series later in 2015 and has been involved in several high-profile storylines, with her character most recently involved in a love triangle with Damon Hay and Adam Barlow.

During her break from the soap, O’Brien appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2010 and starred in Waterloo Road as Bex Fisher from 2010 to 2011. Other notable roles include appearances in Casualty and Doctors, as well as the BBC Two miniseries The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
